It hasn’t even been 30 years since our EC system was discovered and since then, as the research continues we now know it’s the biggest network in our body-essential for mental and physical health.

Hemp was one of the most widely grown crops up until the worldwide ban on cannabis kicked in about 100 years ago. It was part of everyone’s diet!

Over the last few years,  more people than ever are adding CBD to their diets daily as a food supplement.

But, however, it’s understandable that if you are new to CBD and are maybe slightly apprehensive about it then it can seem daunting to go ahead and start introducing it in to your daily routine. This blog aims to educate those who are new to CBD but really want to give it a go! Here you will find out about what CBD actually is, why you really should be having it daily, which products to begin with and how to use them!

What is CBD and why should I take it?

The two main ingredients that are found in the marijuana plant are CBD and THC. Together these both belong to an exclusive class of compounds known as cannabinoids.

Most of the CBD used as a food supplement is found in the least processed form of the cannabis plant, known as hemp. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, but they couldn’t be more different.

CBD is known as a non-psychoactive cannabinoid meaning when you take it, it won’t get you high-this unique feature of CBD is what makes it so great and appealing.

If you want to use CBD products, you don’t have to worry that you will be high. I repeat, you will NOT get ‘stoned’ or ‘high’ using our products here at CBD Life UK and it is TOTALLY legal.

CBD is simply a non-intoxicating component. Your state of mind etc will not change if you take CBD.

Like we discussed, CBD is made from a type of cannabis we call industrial hemp which as I said is grown LEGALLY! You won’t be breaking the law trying our products.

Which products should I start off with and how do I take them?

CBD can be taken orally, rubbed into the skin, vaped, as a gummy bear, or even added to food and drink neat. There are many ways of getting CBD into your bloodstream.

We recommend starting off with our oil and capsules.

CBD Oil interacts with our naturally occurring systems and is a safer, less controversial alternative. When using this product all you have to do is lift your tongue, spray the oil and hold in your mouth for 1-2 minutes then swallow. It can be taken with or without food but preferably prior to a meal as it may lower your blood sugar.

Every person is different when it comes to dosage. Generally we say use 10-20mg everyday. In one spray of the oil there is 5mg so we say at the most use the oil 4 times a day. Some people find they do not like the taste of the product (it’s all natural)- if this is you just have a drink near by.

Each capsule contains 10mg of CBD which is a very good dose for most users. We recommend taking 1 capsule with food 1-3 times a day.

Generally, we see customers use an average of 10-20mg of CBD per day. The FSA guidelines do not recommend exceeding 70mg daily.
