What’s in our Immune Support Tablets?

Vitamin C- 100mg

When you’re feeling run down, there’s nothing worse than the feeling of tiredness and fatigue that comes with it.

As stated in the EU Register on nutrition and health claims, Vitamin C supports the “maintenance of the normal function of the immune system” and “contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue”.

Vitamin D3- 4,000IU

According to a recent Guardian article, “Studies had suggested that having sufficient levels of vitamin D, which is created in the skin’s lower layers through the absorption of sunlight, plays a central role in immune and metabolic function and reduces the risk of certain community-acquired respiratory illnesses.”

At the end of November 2020 Health Secretary Matt Hancock ordered The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence to set recommendations on Vitamin D for potential prevention and treatment of coronavirus.

The National Health Service are also advocating the use of Vitamin D, NHS.uk states: “During autumn and winter, everyone is advised to take vitamin D to keep their bones and muscles healthy and to support their general health.

Vitamin D is also known to contribute “to the normal function of the immune system.”

Zinc- 15mg

Zinc is a mineral that your body uses in many different ways including the function and development of immune cells. It is claimed that Zinc supplements significantly reduce the risk of infections and promote immune response in older adults.

Much like vitamin D3, As stated in the EU Register on nutrition and health claims, zinc “contributes to the normal function of the immune system”.

Vitamin B6-  1.4mg

Per the EU Register on Nutrition and health claims, Vitamin B6 ‘contributes to normal energy yielding metabolism’ and ‘contributes
to normal functioning of the nervous system’. The normal function of your nervous system is extremely important to our health and well-being.

Piperine- 5mg

Piperine is active ingredient in black pepper. One of the biggest advantages to having piperine as an ingredient, is its ability to increase absorption levels of nutrients in your body.

A 2010 study conducted by the European Journal of Pharmacology suggests that piperine may reduce inflammation and improve immune system.
